In Fitch's paradox factivity is one of two assumed principles governing knowledge.
Whereas distribution of knowledge over conjunction has had its critics, factivity
seems to be generally accepted. In my talk I want to reconsider the principle of
factivity by taking a look at the knower paradox and updating processes. It will be
argued that restricting factivity is not only a possible option for the anti-realist
but also an attractive one.
